The Philippines will be experiencing a partial eclipse today starting at about 3:47pm local time (+8GMT). From this point until sunset, the moon will be passing in front of the sun at a pretty slow pace. Here’s how it will more or less look like when it happens.
IMPORTANT: Don’t look at the sun directly! It can damage your eyes. There are many ways to look at it though. Here’s one trick.
At 3:47pm (local time) – the sun will still appear pretty but a few more minutes and you’ll see a small chunk of it blotted out.

An hour later, it’ll look pretty much like this:

The eclipse from this point onward will start ending. You’ll still see the sun partially eclipsed by the moon by sunset.
You may also note that Venus is nearby. It’s very bright after sunset and before sunrise but I don’t know if it can be spotted during the eclipse or not but you can try looking for it by blocking the sun with a tree, wall, or anything large. This will reduce the glare and perhaps will help you see Venus. If it’s ever visible, it will be just a faint dot in the sky.
Last warning: Don’t look at the sun directly!
