Good Luck to Phoenix

The Phoenix spacecraft will land on Mars in a few more hours but will it be successful? I personally hope so mainly because it’s another science vessel on Mars that will help us learn more about the red planet and possibly even find signs of life on it.

Here’s a depiction of the Phoenix landing on Mars
As you can see on the photo, Phoenix will use thrusters to slow its descent. Spirit and Opportunity (two other science vessels on Mars), made their landing using air bags which I personally think is much better and safer. Slowing a descent using thrusters can be tricky but I’m sure the guys at NASA know what they’re doing.
