The US military developed the type of dog that would carry their gear for miles without needing water or food but it needs gas though. The “dog” can carry loads for miles and climb hills upto 45 degrees steep. It can manage to balance itself even when kicked on the side and also manage to walk across obstacles. At the moment, it is headless but the military plans to attach a head to it with video cameras for visual recognition of obstacles and the terrain. Also, it is currently controlled remotely but plans are on the way to make it an independent one.

First Google gave us Google Maps and Google Earth. Now Google gives Google Mars. Now, you can zoom into Mars and look at it’s surface features and note that elevation differences. Better yet, you don’t have to go to Mars to see it. Now you can just “surf” through it!

Christopher Go, a fellow amateur astronomer recently photographed a NEW Red Spot on the planet Jupiter which is now dubbed as “Red, Jr.”. The great news is that the photo is now posted on NASA’s website. Congratulations to Chris Go for doing such a job well done!
