A Storm Nearing the Coast of Japan. Notice its Counter-Clockwise Rotation

But when storms do form in the southern part of the world, guess what? They turn the other way around – they rotate in a clockwise direction! Again, this is due to earth’s rotation. Since storms seldom form in the southern hemisphere, it would be justifiable to say that clockwise-directed storms are rare and below is a photo of one of these rare events.

Take note of it’s Clockwise Rotation

This made me curious. Do water washing down the drain also rotates the opposite direction in the south? When someone flushes the bowl, does the water rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise? I’ve heard and read that it is not so but just in case someone viewing this article resides in the southern part of this beautiful world – could you please check and tell us by posting a comment at the end of this article? Please, no foul words when posting a comment.
Just a little experiment for everybody’s enjoyment. God bless you all!
